Political Contributions

The Wisconsin Medical Society provides two easy ways to make political contributions: WISMedPAC and WISMedDirect. You can contribute to either WISMedPAC or Direct below. To mail your contribution, download and print a contribution form. Contributions can be made either with a check or credit card. If you send your credit card information, you may select a one-time contribution or designate multiple contributions throughout the year.

WISMedPAC

WISMedPAC— the Society’s political action committee—makes contributions to Wisconsin state candidates in key races and to political committees important to legislative leadership. WISMedPAC also supports elected officials who support policies important to physicians. Contributions are made in the name of WISMedPAC and are at the direction of the WISMedPAC Board of Directors. Individual physicians keep a lower profile, as WISMedPAC contributions are group-based, without identifying individual contributors.

WISMedDirect

WISMedDIRECT—the Society’s conduit—is like having your own political checking account at the Society. YOU control your contributions. If you want to attend a political fundraiser or send money to a candidate, let us know and we’ll send the contribution (from your funds) on your behalf. When we receive asks from campaigns we think you might support, we will reach out to let you know about that opportunity. You receive official credit for the contribution, as your name appears on the letter we send with the check. WisMed also gets credit for collecting and aggregating the contribution for the campaign – it’s a win-win!
