At the 2019 House of Delegates (HOD) meeting in April, 2019, the Society’s Board of Directors (Board) unanimously introduced a potential amendment to the Society’s Constitution aimed at improving the Society’s policymaking structure. Currently, policy ideas are brought forward at the annual HOD meeting. The proposed change would move that one-time-per-year process into a year-round endeavor by empowering the Board with approval powers and engage more members in the policymaking process. Amending the Society’s Constitution is a two-year process, with proposed changes introduced one year and then a vote on those changes at the subsequent HOD meeting.
The Society held meetings for members to discuss the governance reform in the potential amendment. You can share your ideas and feedback on the proposed changes by filling out the form below.
