CME to meet the Opioid Prescribing Guideline

MEB-approved Opioid prescribing education

Physicians with a DEA number need to complete two CME credits for the MEB’s Responsible Opioid Prescribing Requirement by December 31, 2021. The Wisconsin Medical Society offers a catalogue of on-demand webinars approved by the MEB to meet the Opioid Prescribing Guideline, required for the 2020-2021 CME licensure cycle.

The newest of these courses is How to Talk to Patients About Opioids presented by Michael McNett, MD. This webinar is intended to help guide clinicians in appropriate and accurate communications with their patients about opioids. This CME also aims to help physicians manage interactions with patients who become manipulative or adversarial when not prescribed the opioids they want and optimize the chances of a positive outcome without sacrificing quality patient care.

Check out the opioid series here. All courses have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and Maintenance of Certification Part II points for certain specialties. Interested in having in-person education? Email [email protected] for details.
